On this last Sunday of winter 2023, 15 of us left Woodinville on our weekly ride for coffee with this week's route taking us to Golden Gardens, Ballard Locks, Fisherman's Terminal, and back through Bellevue and Redmond. Although the skies were generally overcast but with temperatures in the 60's by ride end, many of us had our first ride of the year without jackets! It was wonderful! This ride was memorable also because it was the second (& final) mentored ride for Jeff who has now completed the requirements to become a Ride Leader!
And in a sure sign of spring, a bald eagle was in the tree with the big nest by Redmond City Hall.....probably they are house hunting as that nest has been used the last couple of years by a pair of eagles!
